Identify clearly where development needs to begin
When agreements fail to deliver, conflicts recur or leaders provide too little direction, training can appear to be the obvious solution. Similar situations can have very different causes.
Conversations fail to produce firm commitments
Is the issue a lack of communication skills, or are responsibilities and decision-making authority insufficiently defined?
A team is working against itself
Is the issue an unwillingness to collaborate, or do goals, interfaces and conflicting expectations repeatedly create the conflict?
Leaders delegate too little or slip into micromanagement
Is the issue a lack of methods, or are responsibilities, decision-making authority and expectations insufficiently defined?
Practical expertise that fits your working environment
Christl Lang combines more than 30 years of experience in training, coaching and facilitation with leadership and business experience of her own, as well as a background in IT and technical working environments.
In technical and specialist organisations in particular, high levels of expertise, complex interdependencies and new leadership demands often coincide. Christl Lang knows this working reality from first-hand experience and can quickly distinguish whether people need support, clearer responsibilities or changes to the organisational framework.
The work focuses on real conversations, decisions, interfaces and leadership situations within your organisation.

Situations in which an external perspective can help
The starting point is the specific situation. What needs to change, who is involved and how will progress become visible?
New leaders and leadership teams
People take on responsibility, roles change and expectations need to be clarified. Professional expertise alone does not create a shared leadership practice.
Teams, departments and interfaces
Agreements fail to take effect, responsibilities remain unclear or different departments pursue understandable but conflicting goals.
Tensions that affect work and performance
Different perspectives have become entrenched. Conversations go round in circles or important issues are avoided even though the consequences are already apparent.
Subject-matter experts in leadership roles
High levels of professional expertise meet new demands: providing direction, clarifying expectations, standing behind decisions and engaging people across specialist boundaries.
The right approach depends on the underlying cause
For some concerns, leadership training is sufficient. In other cases, roles, interfaces or decision-making processes affect implementation. We clarify this before making a recommendation.
Roles and expectations
We examine whether roles, responsibilities, decision-making authority and expectations are sufficiently clear.
Agreements and interfaces
We clarify where information, agreements or responsibilities fail to work reliably across organisational boundaries.
Goals and conditions
We consider the conditions that support or hinder the desired behaviour in day-to-day practice.
Making it work
To develop an appropriate recommendation, we first clarify the situation, objective, people involved and organisational conditions. The scope depends on the complexity of the assignment.
You describe your situation
The initial consultation covers the reason for your enquiry, the people involved, the desired change and the conditions within your organisation.
We clarify the information still required
Together, we examine which information is already available and which perspectives are still needed for an appropriate recommendation.
You receive a clear recommendation
You will know who should be involved, what needs to be addressed and which timeframe and methodology would be appropriate.
Implementation remains practical
The work addresses real conversations, decisions and situations. Agreed follow-up steps support practical application in day-to-day work.
Formats tailored to your assignment
The design depends on the objective, the participants and the organisational conditions.
In person, online or hybrid
The mode of delivery is selected to suit the target group, the content and the realities of the working environment.
German and English
Training and development programmes are available for national and international groups.
Workshop, training series or development programme
The timeframe and methodology are determined by the agreed development objective.
Work with someone who understands different organisational environments
Christl Lang works with organisations in industry, technology, media and professional services. She works across different organisational levels, with varied professional disciplines, and in German or English.
Frequently asked questions before a corporate assignment
Here you will find answers to the most important questions about preparation, proposals, delivery and confidentiality.
What information do you need for an initial assessment?
Helpful information includes the reason for the enquiry, the target group, the desired change, the number of participants, the timeframe and the organisational conditions. You do not need to provide a completed training concept.
When is a more detailed analysis appropriate?
A more detailed analysis can be useful when different expectations need to be aligned, complex causes need to be assessed or robust development objectives need to be defined. Possible approaches include structured interviews, stakeholder discussions, facilitated scoping sessions or an evaluation of existing documents. The scope, outcome and fee are agreed in advance.
What happens between the initial consultation and the proposal?
During the initial consultation, we clarify the situation, target group, desired outcome and framework. If the available information is sufficient, you receive a recommendation and a proposal for the intervention. If a more detailed analysis is required first, this is offered separately.
Do you need several contacts within the organisation?
One central contact is generally useful for coordination. Additional perspectives can be included through targeted interviews or stakeholder discussions. Central coordination remains clearly defined.
How are participants involved before an intervention?
Depending on the assignment, participants may receive a short questionnaire about their previous experience, expectations and specific concerns. Their responses support detailed planning and help establish a sound basis for the work.
How is confidential feedback handled?
Personal information is treated confidentially and is not shared with the client in a way that identifies individuals. Any agreed feedback to HR or other stakeholders is provided at an overarching level and without allowing conclusions to be drawn about individual participants.
Which formats and modes of delivery are available?
Depending on the objective, an individual workshop, a coordinated training series or a development programme may be appropriate. Delivery is available in person, online or as an agreed hybrid format. Facilitation or individual coaching can complement a corporate assignment where appropriate. The decisive factor is the contribution each element makes to the agreed objective.
